Most families reach Zurich tired: a long flight, a busy baggage hall, then the puzzle of getting everyone and everything to the hotel. With the GLS, that first leg is one car. We hand over the keys at the airport, and soon you are climbing the hill to the Dolder Grand with the youngest asleep in the second row. The road to the Dolder

The Dolder Grand sits on the Adlisberg, reached by a winding residential road through the Zurichberg. The hotel's valet takes the GLS from the forecourt, so there is no need to tackle the garage yourself.

Lucerne before ten

Lakefront parking in Lucerne fills by mid-morning in summer. Leave Zurich around nine and you arrive with a choice of garages, a short walk from the Chapel Bridge.

Titlis in winter

From December, the valley road to Engelberg can be snowy and chains may be signposted. The GLS has all-wheel drive; tell us your dates and we confirm its winter equipment.

Can the GLS meet us at Zurich Airport and take us straight to the Dolder Grand?

Yes. The car waits for you at ZRH and we hand over the keys after baggage claim. Flying privately? We deliver to the FBO entrance, or planeside where permitted.

Relatives are joining for two days. Do we need a second car?

Usually not. The GLS seats seven with five large suitcases aboard. For Lucerne or Rigi the third row suits adults; for the longer Titlis day, seat the teenagers at the back.

Is there anything to keep the children busy on the way to the mountains?

The second-row seats have their own entertainment screens, plus cooling and massage, which makes the hour to Rigi or 1h15 to Engelberg pass quickly.

We are spending a month in Zurich. Can we keep the GLS the whole time?
