Friends or family flying in? Geneva Airport is about an hour away by motorway, and the boot takes five large suitcases, so one car does the airport run.

Évian on a free afternoon

Évian-les-Bains is about 45 minutes away on the French shore. The car is cleared for France; from 1 November to 31 March, winter equipment rules apply in the mountain areas of Haute-Savoie, so let us know if a visit falls in that period.

When the stay runs into autumn

Long stays often run past the summer. The lakeshore stays mild, but the hills above Montreux see snow; if your dates reach November, ask for the car to be prepared for winter.
