The north-shore lake road

Take the Route Suisse through Coppet and Nyon toward Rolle with the lake on your right, then return on the motorway. It is gentle and scenic, and best before the morning traffic.

The Salève and the Jura

Across the French border, the ridge road over the Salève looks straight down on Geneva, and the Col de la Faucille climbs the Jura above Gex. Both are short enough to fit between breakfast and lunch.

Low nose, steep ramps
